Part III: Solar Plexus

Solar Plexus at a glance

  • Archetypal Element: Fire

  • Color: Yellow

  • Purpose: Transformation

  • Right: To act and to be individual

Power.

The one word that comes to mind when I think about the Solar Plexus chakra. Located in our unarmored, soft bellies, this energy center is all about transforming raw energy into focused activity, based on ability and will. Fire transmutes matter into heat and light, illuminating the path for us to see more clearly. By the same process, our inner fires can be harnessed into action.

This simple two-ingredient arrangement signifies so much! The buttery Gladiolus, erect in nature, demonstrate a healthy sense of pride – standing tall in their own power. Their upright stems also mimic the upward motion of a flame. The bounciness of the three #3rdchakra sunshine yellow Butterfly Ranunculus soften the rigidity, reminding us that power does not need to be harsh; it can inspire and empower without diminishing another. An especially important reminder as we all live in a society that is obsessed with power over another versus the much more potent power within.

Let us all use our individual power to transform ourselves, and in turn the world around us!
